The film was screened in LA

Dear friends a little update from turbulent Los Angeles.
Two hours and twenty minutes before the screening we got the green light from the festival board. It was not an easy move for them. But we left it in their hands and the festival did they right thing, We are greatful for that. At least ten people from DOLE in the audience. Taking notes. The audience loved the film. The debate was insane, but we did well. The sympathy fell on our side.
Later we spent 1500 dollars on the party that the Swedish Conslutate in LA had promised to give. After the DOLE letters to them and the Swedish Ambassador in Washington DC they didn’t even show up. Why are there so many coward people out there? I’m so greatful for the support from all of you in this facebook group.

Now it’s time for coffee. Don’t think you’ll get sued on a Sunday.

A new attack from DOLE

Dear friends, DOLE has sent a subpenoa to Film Independent the organizers of Los Angeles Film Festival. They request all correspondance with me, a copy of the film and all recordings from the panels in LA. They are looking for new ways to attack us. This is disturbing.
We have written a letter to Film Independent asking to please resist the subpenoa. As to now it looks like they will not. They are ready to handover the film and other material DOLE. This is not OK.
Tomorrow we will publish the letter on bananasthemovie.com. Also the email adress to the executive director of Film Independent Dawn Hudson. We understand that they are under pressure. But for the future, it’s important that filmmakers and film festivals can trust eachother.
